New Production Lines in Inner Mongolia

Sorbic International has begun construction on its new facility at the Chahar Industrial Park in Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia. The groundbreaking ceremony took place at the site on Sunday, 25 April 2010, and is the first step in scaling the business substantially. The new facility is a key driver of growth for the Company, as it will provide two new production lines, which will increase the Company’s capacity by 50%, from 7,500 to 15,000 tonnes per annum.

The new site is well positioned, benefiting from modern infrastructure, with excellent energy, water and transport links. The availability of resources such as coal, electricity and water at a lower cost will improve gross profit margins, and enhance the Company’s competitive advantage. There are also tax incentives that lower the effective rate of tax from 25% to 15% (a 40% saving) for the next 10 years.

As an early entrant into the Chahar Industrial Park, the Company has fostered strong relationships with local government which has committed full support for its construction project and future development plans.

Ulanqab City has a population of 2.73 million and is only 1 hour drive from Hohhot Baita Airport and a 3 hour drive from Beijing.

Construction is expected to be completed by autumn 2010.
